For our two FPGA-based products, the Cylonix Shapeshifter and Cylonix Rainmaker, there is a separate update process for the FPGA portion of the product. The FPGA firmware can only be updated using Altera’s Intel’s proprietary Quartus Programmer Software. For our users’ convenience we’ve made the software available for download here.

NOTE: Intel has purchased Altera since these guides were produced. We’ve confirmed that you can use v18 of the Intel version of the software to update the Rainmaker and Shapeshifter. When following the guide replace any references to “altera” with “intel” the rest of the proceedure is the same.
